Kari Goodnough |
Kari
Goodnough is a Freelance Photographer originally from
Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts
degree in Photojournalism from the Rochester Institute of
Technology in Rochester, New York, with a focus in Cultural
Studies.Kari has worked for various national newspapers, magazines, and wire agencies. In 2006, she exhibited her documentary images of "Lili's Burlesque Revue" at the Mobile Arts Council's Skinny Gallery. Other projects include; photography for a Hmong children's book through the National Institute of Media and the Family in Minneapolis, MN; travel documentary series around the U.S. and Europe including Paris, France, Venice, Italy, and Sedona, Arizona. |
Kim Kelly |
Kim studied photography at Virginia Tech
where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Communication Studies. Her coursework there included
the shooting and editing of a 16 mm short film.After graduating, Kim worked for years in television and advertising as a broadcast director. Her responsibilities included scriptwriting, still-photography and the production of commercials and instructional videos. After moving to Madrid, Spain, Kim enjoyed “street” photography and worked regularly in her own darkroom developing film and making prints. In recent years she has specialized in black and white portrait photography, mainly shooting candid-style photographs of children and families in outdoor locations using a medium format camera. Kim is currently shooting digitally, mainly portraiture. Her work has been shown in Montgomery and Mobile. |

Photography is a fulfilling and revealing creative
outlet for me. It always brings new surprises and
challenges my outlook on the world. In my work I attempt
to show the genuine nature of subjects; unforced and
unpretentious. |
Ben Sumrall |
Ben Sumrall was born in Sumrall, Mississippi, and after
Graduating from high school, attended Pearl River Junior
College on a music scholarship. Ben served as an
Electronics Technician in the United States Navy until
1966, when he went to work for Southern Bell Telephone
Company in Mobile. As the telecommunications industry
changed, Ben held various positions within the Bell
System, retiring from AT&T in 2004.While he doesn't consider himself a photographer, Ben developed an interest in photographs as a child. He is seldom without a camera, and is a prolific amateur “picture taker”. Ben resides in midtown Mobile with his companion Dianne Martin. As a team, they have enthusiastically participated in past Look Up Mobile contests, and are previous winners. |
Demetrice Westbrook |
Demetrice Westbrook would like to give all credit to
God. Demetrice has an extensive background in the world of
fashion and entertainment as well as scholastic and
community service. Demetrice graduated from Auburn
University with a degree in kinesiology. While photography
being the passion in his life, that was only the tip of the
dreams and visions Demetrice had in his heart.
Understanding: love, professionalism, respect, commitment
and hard work would be a must to separate him from the rest.
These traits open the door to numerous opportunities for
Demetrice to propose the gift of photography God has placed
in his heart to present to the world. With a mission to
capture lifes activity and leave memorable experiences in
the lives of many; continues to drive Demetrice to explore
many areas of life we tend to not focus on and create an
emotion, thought or action. Demetrice believes to receive
creativity and accept it as a gift and not just an act is life within itself. Creativity and uniqueness formed the
very world we live in and Demetrice has dedicated himself to
capturing all aspects of it. |
